Vitamin D is one of the most studied and supplemented vitamins. This talk will overview the physiology of vitamin D with an emphasis on its role in immunity. This talk will then review a subset of the clinical data on vitamin D and immunity with special attention to respiratory illnesses, including Covid-19. Finally, considerations regarding dosing vitamin D will be discussed.

She practices naturopathic oncology out of Naturopathic Specialists, LLC. Dr Alschuler co-hosts a radio show, Five To Thrive Live! and is co-founder of the iTHRIVE Plan, a lifestyle app for cancer survivors. She is co-author of Definitive Guide to Cancer, now in its 3rd edition, and Definitive Guide to Thriving After Cancer.
