In 2003, Nutritional Fundamentals for Health (NFH) set out to “Bridge the gap between nutraceuticals and evidence-based medicine.” A large gap existed between the ventures producing nutraceutical products and the researchers testing the optimal composition of those products to benefit health.
The obvious next step was to link these two forces together in such a way that research expertise could be directly utilized to decide which of the many products available should be further studied and optimize the formulation of those products to benefit the patients of healthcare professionals.
